Manila, Philippines — South Korean actress Han So Hee, beloved for her roles in hit dramas like Nevertheless, My Name, and Gyeongseong Creature, finally met her Filipino fans face-to-face during her highly anticipated fanmeeting held in Manila this weekend. The event, staged at The Cove in Okada, marked her first official visit to Manila — and it was nothing short of magical.

As one of the country’s top luxury destinations, The Cove provided an elevated fanmeet experience with curated benefits such as XOXO Cabana Suite access, premium food and beverage inclusions, and a hi-touch session for lucky ticket holders.

Our Queen Enters

From the moment she stepped onstage, the crowd erupted in cheers that filled the venue. Radiating warmth and elegance, Han So Hee greeted fans in Filipino, instantly melting hearts.

Fresh from a flight from Canada — where she attended the world premiere of her Korean film Project Y — she showed no signs of exhaustion. Instead, she was full of energy and eager to meet and interact with her Filipino fans.

You Are My Sparkling Treasure

“The fans really are treasures in my life. That is why I came up with this title,” Han So Hee revealed during the interview segment. She shared that she personally chose the title as a gift to her fans who have given her unconditional love and support.

And the Award Goes To

The fanmeet began with a talk segment that set the tone for an exciting night. Han So Hee revealed some upcoming projects, including the Korean remake of the Hollywood film The Intern.

Fans were also treated to Xohee’s Awards, a fun interactive game where they guessed which choices So Hee would pick in different categories.

Which character would be the best travel mate?
Nominees included her beloved characters: Yoo Na-bi (Nevertheless), Lee Eun-soo (Soundtrack #1), Yoon Ji-woo (My Name), and Yoon Chae-ok (Gyeongseong Creature). While most fans guessed Yoo Na-bi or Yoon Ji-woo, So Hee surprised everyone by choosing Lee Eun-soo, explaining that Eun-soo’s bright and positive personality would make her an ideal travel companion. When asked which character she wouldn’t want to travel with, she chose Yoon Chae-ok, saying she would be “too dangerous.”

What is So Hee’s favorite traditional Filipino dish?
Given the choices Adobo, Crispy Pata, Chicken Inasal, and Bulalo, So Hee picked Bulalo, noting that it reminded her of a Korean dish. Fans happily recommended even more Filipino delicacies for her to try next time.

Which character type would she like to play next?
Nominees were Psychopath, Doctor, Spy, and Producer. Fans overwhelmingly voted for Psychopath — and So Hee agreed. She explained that portraying a psychopath would challenge her acting range, allowing her to explore complex emotions.

Art Imitates Life

Another highlight was when So Hee was shown fan art created by her supporters. Many of the artists were in the audience, and So Hee even replicated some of the poses from their drawings. One moment that had everyone laughing was when she tried — and adorably struggled — to bite the cap off a marker while copying one artwork.

Short Film Premiere

After a short break, So Hee surprised fans with the premiere of a self-produced short film — a stunning visual piece showcasing her beauty and emotional depth. The audience was captivated, unable to take their eyes off the screen.

Beat Drop with a Big Flash

Fans went wild when So Hee showcased her dance skills, performing Jennie’s Seoul City and aespa’s Whiplash. Despite saying she wished she had more time to prepare, her stage presence and energy had the audience on their feet.

Fan Interactions

The venue layout made the experience intimate and allowed So Hee to interact closely with fans.

During the “All About Xohee: Yes or No!” game, the audience had to guess So Hee’s answers by making “O” or “X” gestures with their bodies. Two male fans caught So Hee’s attention by forming the gestures together, making it hard for her to eliminate them even when they answered incorrectly.

Fans were also invited to write heartfelt letters, which So Hee read during the “Xohee’s Must-do List” segment. One fan thanked her for helping them through their mental health struggles and wished for a selfie together. Host Karen Bordador initially joked that everyone would get a group selfie, but So Hee was so touched that she went down to the audience herself to take the selfie — a gesture that shocked and delighted the crowd.

Another fan who was celebrating her birthday asked for a hug, and So Hee granted her wish right from the stage, proving just how much she genuinely cares for her fans.

In “Drawing with Xohee,” lucky fans got to team up with So Hee for a drawing game. Initially, she wasn’t supposed to join, but she insisted — showing her competitive side and working hard for her team. She even gave them a group hug afterward.

You Are Not Alone

Filipino fans prepared a special video message that left So Hee in tears. “There were so many times that I struggled and went through hard times, but the fans were there to fill me up and keep me from feeling lonely,” she said, visibly moved.

The video revisited So Hee’s journey and included heartfelt messages of encouragement. So Hee shyly tried to cover clips where she was dancing, which earned laughs from the audience.

A Promise to Return

The evening ended with a heartfelt message from Han So Hee, thanking her Filipino fans for their love and support. She promised to return to the Philippines, leaving fans with hopeful hearts and unforgettable memories.

Han So Hee’s first fanmeeting in the Philippines was not just an event — it was a celebration of the deep bond between her and her Filipino fans. It marked the beginning of what many hope will be more frequent visits from the actress.

It also highlighted L-Squared Productions’ commitment to raising the bar for fan events in the country, combining a world-class venue, a global star, and the heartfelt passion of Filipino fans. If this event is any indication, the future of premium fan gatherings in Manila looks brighter than ever.
