The nine members of ZEROBASEONE transported us into a “timeless world” last Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The winners of the hit talent-search show, Boys Planet — exemplified that talent and visuals go hand in hand during their 2024 ZEROBASEONE FIRST TOUR TIMELESS WORLD in Manila.

For a rookie group, ZEROBASEONE didn’t disappoint their star mentors and supporters as they were able to captivate the audience all throughout the show. Right from their powerful opening with “Solar POWER,” followed by “Road Movie,” “Take My Hand,” and “New Kidz on the Block,” “KILL THE ROMEO,” and “CRUSH,” their charisma and commanding stage presence were already palpable.

These charming individuals have a distinctive way of demonstrating that they are truly the promising “new kids on the block.” The second half of the show thrilled us with their solo stages and Boys Planet performances, while their group acts showcased the undeniable synergy and dynamic within the team. The lineup featured “In Bloom,” “Insomnia,” “Good Night,” “Always (Hao),” “Over Me,” “Switch” (performed by Han Bin, Tae Rae, Gyu Vin, and Yu Jin), “En Garde,” “Say My Name,” and Boys Planet theme song, “Here I Am.”

Amid their performances, ZEROSE were not only captivated by the group’s stunning visuals and impressive talent, but also by their exceptional fan service. The spontaneous interactions between the members highlighted their genuine enjoyment of sharing the stage together. This was especially evident during the third part of the show, featuring performances of “DEAR Eclipse,” “Hot Summer,” “SWEAT,” “Kidz Zone,” “Feel the POP,” and “GOOD SO BAD,” which included a chorus that was repeated around six times.

There were more treats than tricks during their encore stage. Alongside performing their bops “And I,” “Sunday RIDE,” and “YURA YURA,” they surprised and left their Filo ZEROSE swooning with their rendition of Maki’s well-loved OPM song, “Dilaw;” as all good things must come to an end, ZEROBASEONE wrapped up the show with “HELLO” — the perfect closing song for us to eagerly wait for their return and greet them “hello” again in the near future.

From beginning to end, it was evident that Filo ZEROSE in attendance grew increasingly fond of Seok Matthew, Ricky, Park Gun Wook, Kim Tae Rae, Sung Han Bin, Han Yu Jin, Kim Ji Woong, Zhang Hao, and Kim Gyuvin; and will definitely anticipate the beloved project group’s next visit.
