Filo Dongdengs spent more than two hours with the ‘Queen of Tears’ star at Be My One in Manila
Upon the announcement of PULP Live World that they will be bringing Kim Ji Won’s fan meeting in the Philippines, Filo Dongdengs started eyeing on the event’s ticket selling day to secure their seats to see their favorite actress, Kim Ji Won. True enough, tickets were sold out in a short span of time — proof that the talented actress has a lot of supporters in the country.
Fast forward to the big day: even before the fan meeting began, fans were in for a special surprise. Upon arrival at the venue, ticketholders were given a photocard set as a memento from the event. As the theater quickly filled up, it wasn’t long before the much-anticipated artist took the stage, performing “Stupid Cupid.” Overwhelmed by the enthusiastic cheers from the audience, Kim Ji Won couldn’t contain her joy while singing the song.
While taking a breather, Kim Ji Won asked her fans to calm down since it is a 2-hour show but the emcee, Kring Kim ensured her that the powerful energy will last all throughout the show.

The first segment of the fan meeting was titled “Be My Actor Story: Playlist Talk.” During this part, Kim Ji Won shared the songs that helped her immerse herself in the characters she portrayed. For her femme fatale role as Yoon Myeong Joo in “Descendants of the Sun,” she chose “I Always Miss You” by Lee Sun Hee, a song released in 1988. She explained that she knows this song because she grew up listening to the music her mother enjoyed. For her relatable role as Yeom Mi Jeong in “My Liberation Notes,” she picked “Shining” by Kim Yun A. To prepare for the iconic character of Hong Hae In, she listened to “We Fight Ourselves” by Epik High, which features her best friend Younha.

Continuing with the “Be My Actor Story” segment, the second part was called the “Styling Preference World Cup.” Given that all her roles featured notable outfits, Kim Ji Won had to choose between photos from two different series to narrow down her final choice. From “Arthdal Chronicles,” “The Heirs,” “My Liberation Notes,” and “Queen of Tears,” can you guess her final pick? If you guessed “Queen of Tears,” you’re correct. Although her styles made a statement in all the dramas she starred in, her style in this series is definitely her favorite.
Before the next segment of the fan meet, she sang one of the sentimental soundtracks from “Queen of Tears”, “From Bottom of My Heart,” which was originally sung by Kim Na Young. Her sweet vocals were a perfect for the song loved by the fans of the series.

The second segment was titled “BE MY WON: My 2024 Profile.” Reminiscent of a slambook, questions on a tablet were displayed on the screen for everyone to see as Kim Ji Won wrote her answers. Some of the questions included her nickname from fans (Kim Ding), favorite movie (Up), interests aside from acting (finding ways to relax), and frequently used phrases/words (Omo). The next part of this segment was “BE MY WON: JW Q&A,” where she answered a few questions posed by the emcee, Kring Kim. Kim Ji Won shared that she wants to showcase more of herself as an actress and expressed her desire to star in a thriller. When asked to choose between a 10-year-old Kim Ji Won and 10 Kim Ji Wons, she chose the 10-year-old version, saying that 10 Kim Ji Wons would be too much. Fans exclaimed that they wanted 10 Kim Ji Wons, so to compromise, she decided to leave one Kim Ji Won in the Philippines. Kring Kim made her laugh by saying that the “Kim Ji Won” left in the Philippines would be the one to eat inasal, ube ice cream, and cheese ice cream.

Of course, a fan meeting wouldn’t be complete without some interaction between Ji Won and her fans. The next segment, “BE MY WON: KJW MINI GAME,” provided just that. In the game “Catch Mind,” fans had to guess Kim Ji Won’s drawings as they were displayed on the screen one by one. In the game “Guess the DRAMA OST Title,” selected fans were asked to name the K-Drama and identify Kim Ji Won’s character in it. Winners received official “Queen of Tears” merchandise, which they claimed after the show.
As is tradition in fan meetings, a surprise event was prepared for our queen, Ji Won. A heartfelt video was shown on the screen, and right after watching it, the fans sang “Tell Me It’s Not A Dream.” Kim Ji Won, who usually doesn’t cry, shed a few tears during this segment. Following this emotional moment, she sang her final song for the night, “Only” by Lee Hi. She exclaimed that it was a “heart-touching” experience for her. She also shared that while she thought she would be the one to bring energy and happiness to her fans, in the end, she received even more of it during her Manila fan meeting.
It was a night that exuded Kim Ji Won’s with elegance, charisma, and charm. We are certain that the Filo Dongdengs who attended the fan meet left with an even deeper affection for their beloved actress and will continue to support her in her future projects.
