Han Hyojoo and Ju Jihoon are super excited for their new series. Here are reasons K-Drama fans should be, too! 

There’s a new K-Drama that premiered exclusively on Disney+ last April 10. It’s called Blood Free and it stars two household Korean superstars, Han Hyojoo and Ju Jihoon.

That’s right! Two of South Korea’s brightest stars are going to be sharing the screen, and it’s their first time working together, too. If you’re thinking, “What’s the big deal? Top stars work together all the time!” let us break it down for you:

1. We are going to witness a top-tier and stunning acting showcase as Han Hyojoo and Ju Jihoon have both been working as actors and models for decades, both 21 years to be precise at that. Han Hyojoo was discovered in a teenage beauty pageant in 2003 and Ju Jihoon began his career as a model, also in 2003. 

2. Every scene is bound to make the audience experience all the feels with the caliber of acting from such multi-awarded talents. Yes, they’ve both received accolades for their works in South Korea, as well as on the international stage! He is a Golden Circle Film Festival Best Actor awardee and she is a Baeksang Arts Awards Best Actress winner.

3. What’s in their bags? Oh nothing, just a colorful variety of roles from sweet romcom, historical to sci-fi to action. This tells us their new show is going to be a celebration of all the roles they’ve played while ushering in their new bold and thrilling characters.

4. In the conspiratorial drama Blood Free, these two will once again showcase their acting prowess, which will leave viewers forming their own theories and keeping them coming back for more!

5. Indeed, this collaboration will bring us all the oppa hotness of Ju Jihoon and the cool and mysterious vibe of Han Hyojoo. He plays Woo Chaewoon, a soldier-turned-personal bodyguard to Yun Jayu, the CEO of an artificial meat company.

6. This whodunit series will have viewers on a whirlwind rollercoaster ride of guessing games and pointing fingers at who might be a spy, questioning the characters’ motives, and rooting for them to finally have the truth revealed.

7. The actors themselves are just as excited for Blood Free, too, “As soon as I read the script for Blood Free, I was instantly hooked,” expressed Jihoon.
